Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation making a
Difference for Patients & Families.
When a person is terminally ill, the bills don't stop. Facing the
end of life and having financial difficulty can be overwhelming.
The combination of concerns can add unbearable stress to an already
difficult and heartbreaking situation.
Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation
(CCHF) was created to help
terminally ill hospice patients and the people who love them.

What is Compassionate Care Foundation?
Giving examples of how CCHF has helped individuals and families may
be the best way to explain what CCHF does to help.
- Rental, mortgage, and utility payments are made for
individuals and families - this provides a familiar place to
live and helps the family remain in tact as long as possible.
- Summer camp for an 11 year old child whose single parent
mother is terminally ill.
- A special little therapeutic pillow to help ease pain for
terminally ill child.
- Parents to dinner - parents had been caring for terminally
ill child and had not had any time together in a very long
while. CCHF paid for a hair cut for mom, dinner, and a
baby-sitter.
- English as Second Language classes - for parents so they
could communicate with their terminally ill child's physicians
and other staff. Their social worker also felt this could help
the father acquire a better job to support his family.
- Five years ago a woman escaped a war torn country in Africa
to save her life. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer and
asked CCHF to help her return home to be reunited with her
husband and five children.
- A refrigerator for a family with four small children - they
were keeping their food in coolers.
- CCHF provides an annual grant to Compassionate Courage, a
program for school aged children who have a family member
undergoing cancer treatments, terminal illness or children who
have experienced loss due to death (not necessarily a hospice
patient) or changes in family structure.
- CCHF provides funding for special projects, hospice
volunteer recognition efforts, and educational programs designed
to benefit the community by raising awareness about hospice
care.
